Welcome to Miṣriqiyā, an international peer-reviewed academic journal published biannually by the Faculty of Women, Ain Shams University. Miṣriqiyā aims to publish high-quality research papers relevant to Africa. The journal publishes articles in the fields of anthropology, history, sociology, politics, geography, linguistics, and literary and cultural studies.

Plagiarism:
The journal has a strict policy against plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using professional plagiarism-checking software. Submitted manuscripts with an unacceptable similarity index resulting from plagiarism are rejected immediately.
We accept only original research papers of sufficient quality that meet the aims and scope of our journal. We do not support multiple, redundant, or concurrent publications. An article found to have plagiarized other work or include materials without necessary permission will be denied publication.
We permit self-archiving, which means that authors may deposit the published PDF version of their articles in academic and institutional repositories as well as post their articles on their personal websites.
The submission of a manuscript for publication in Miṣriqiyā grants the editors of the journal the right and license to publish the manuscript on the journal’s website as well as distribute it in different academic databases.
